The new development, known now as "Palmero" is once again underway in back of the established Nokomis community of Sorrento East. The current phase of operations include preparing the border for the silt fence, which must be installed around all construction projects per Florida state law.
With the recommencing of operations, comes the news that, unlike the approved original plan...
the development of Palmero will NOT be required to raise the elevation of the parcel over three feet - before building can commence... This is due to the implementation of a new ground water flow design being incorporated, the land for the project - so about
96 acres will only be raised 18" in base elevation. The run off system on the western edge of the property (Sorrento East subdivision side), remains the same - via the encorporation of a "swale" system.
